India stopped a nuclear cargo ship coming from China at Nhava Sheva Port in Mumbai, which was going from China to Pakistan. India had received information from its intelligence agencies that the Chinese cargo ship named CMA CGM ATTILA, which was sailing from China to Karachi, has equipment which can be used for dual purposes, which poses a threat to promoting nuclear programs along with civilian purposes.

During this operation, (CNC) Computerized Numerical Control machines manufactured by an Italian company were found. Recently, CNC machines have come under the International Control Regime under the wassenaar arrangement, meaning that they have been declared an item that can be used even in a nuclear weapon program. This happened when North Korea recently announced that a CNC machine was used to carry forward the nuclear program. There is no manufacturing industry in Pakistan at the level that would require a CNC machine.

The company also manufactures CCTV cameras, fire fighting systems, solar panels, equipment required for heavy industry and research, etc. The consignment has been seized because it can also be used for nuclear and ballistic missile programs. It is known that this consignment was for the Pakistani Defense Forces.
