Israel has prepared for a full-scale ground offensive in Rafah.
The United States is warning of disaster and humanitarian groups are warning of a bloody deadly situation as Israel prepares a full-scale ground assault on Gaza’s southernmost city, Rafah.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asked his military forces to submit an evacuation plan for Rafah, where about 10 million Palestinians have sought refuge since the war began in October.
Netanyahu says Rafah is the last remaining Hamas stronghold there, which he has ordered his troops to eliminate.
“This war is extremely deadly and unsustainable” the UN said, adding that it could lead to a disaster for the refugee people in Rafah.
