Wagle actor Aanjjan Srivastav was close friends with iconic actor Amitabh Bachchan in the 1990s. Their friendship began while working together on the film “Shahenshah” when Big B discovered Aanjjan Srivastav was a banker. He later opened an account with Srivastav’s bank. It was a rough moment for Mr. Bachchan, and things only got worse following the show “Kaun Banega Crorepati.” Srivastav had something to say about it:
In an exclusive interview with The Times of India, veteran actor Anjan Srivastav discussed Amitabh Bachchan’s financial difficulties and how they damaged their friendship. He had financial problems, and his company suffered considerable losses.” He swiftly returned, however, with ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’ Surprisingly, he had cut ties with old friends. He was a different individual after KBC. Jaya Ji used to invite me and my family to celebrate Holi with them, but he progressively stopped doing so. This had little effect on my profession, but I did suffer some loss, which I believe was caused by some of my friends who provoked him against me.”
During the conversation, the veteran actor also disclosed how actor Pink staged a revolt against him at the Filmistan studio, resulting in a disastrous situation.
“I had gone to meet him on the set of the film ‘Toofan’ when there were protests against him in Kolkata, and his posters were being torn down,” Srivastav explained. Mr. Bachchan seemed furious, but when I asked him how he was, he answered he was well. Nobody supported him, and literary figures from Allahabad as well as his father’s friends spoke out against him. He was in poor health and was later involved in an accident. I went there because he was a nice human being in my opinion.”
“He was stuck with the ABCL account, and when we went to the bank, people were accusing him,” Srivastav stated. I asked the manager not to register a complaint against him. When we met him, he apologized instantly and promised to repay the money as soon as possible. We were confident in his good intentions. In this manner, he gradually repaid all of the money without having to deal with other banks.”
